New Officer Introduction Program
The New Security Officer Introduction Program functions as part of the Eagle employment screening process. It offers prospective employees an introduction to the fundamental responsibilities of a professional security officer, as well as complying with state mandated licensing standards. Candidates must successfully complete this screening process as a condition of being hired.
The program also includes OSHA-required information on Blood borne Pathogens and Hazard Communication.
Officers who drive on the job also take the Eagle Safe Driving Program, including on-the-road certification.
Hazard Communication Awareness
This course explains how material hazards are communicated. Security personnel learn to identify hazards from warning labels, use material safety data sheets, and minimize exposure risks with personal protective equipment. Topics include:
- Forms of container
- Safe work practices with labeling hazardous substances
- How to use Material Safety Data Sheets
Blood Borne Pathogens
In compliance with OSHA requirements, this program educates employees about the nature of blood borne pathogens and related safety precautions. Content includes:
- Blood borne diseases
- Exposure control
- Occupational transmission compliance of blood borne diseases
- Steps to take if an exposure occurs
Eagle Safe Driving Program
This course ensures that employees required to drive on the job have the knowledge and skills to safely operate their assigned vehicles. Topics include:
- Defensive driving
- Emergency situations
- Driver attitude
- Physical road test
